Cd won’t load

Welcome to the forum! I have the same car, bought used in 2019. I love it and use the CD player on occasion. Make sure you're not inserting the disc upside down.
You can also buy a CD player cleaning disc and run it a few times. I Googled it and it works for some. Good luck!
I'm having a Lexion CarPlay/Android unit and 10 inch screen installed June 11.

Are you trying CD-R discs or commercially made CDs? Try removing the negative terminal on the battery for 15 minutes
and putting it back on. Try a few different CDs to see if they go in. Maybe the CD player is shot and needs replacement.
Hopefully others will chime in with other suggestions.

No it won't. There's no other CD in there already? Does it give an error number, as in CD error 1, 2, 3, 4?

It just says disc error ...no numbers.
Trying to insert regular commercial cds...tried 3 different music cds...does not insert....stays out and just says disc error.
will try removing negative battery terminal tomorrow.

Any chance there is something in there besides a disc?
Given the limited space in the IS many use a CD player cell phone mount.
Maybe the previous owner did and piece of the mount is in the player.
Just spit-balling ideas.

Just to see if there is something in the slot you can look through the same opening the CD slides into.
Gently push the felt material apart look in a flashlight...you might be able to see if there is something in there.
Otherwise the radio would have to come out and completely apart to check it thoroughly.

I mean... are you actually going to listen to CDs? Unless this problem is preventing you from using Bluetooth/USB/Radio/Satellite, there’s absolutely no reason to waste money on this. I’m surprised you paid a dealer $75 to tell you what you already know...
