Default Truck side swiped into my car, is this frame damage?

His nuts were extended out, we were probably going like 10mph merging onto a ramp off the highway, I was in front of him, not sure why he didn't slow down, just bumped into mine, didn't feel major until I stepped out and there's 2 holes in my bumper and then I peaked behind just now and parts of the inside metal or scratched and bent inwards, but I'm not if this is the frame of the car? I posted pictures. Thanks (btw guy tried to say I hit his rear, concave tires that had no studs sticking out, complete d*** head).

From here it looks like all the damage is cosmetic...I wouldn't worry about the frame.

Sorry to see this happen.

"His nuts were extended out," That's all you needed to say, dickheadedness established.
Sorry to see this.

Imagine if he hits a motorcyclist he’s gone for sure. Complete idiot no regards for others.

After you get it fixed, ask for a diminished value claim for before and after loss of value.

This was the truck that hit me, I think it's normally how it comes, it wasn't after market. Looking back at it, I think he just didn't see me at all because he was all the way up there on the left and I was down low on his right, but yeah, the front of his wheel came into my rear bumper. He tried telling the cops that I hit his rear wheels... don't know how that damage is possible from his back tires...

I can but I'm pretty sure it would come on Car Fax as a minor fender bender / accident. I've had firsthand experience selling my older 2010 Corolla which had multiple fender benders + 1 major accident and I sold it for Kelly Blue Book value. I don't think the value decreases that substantially. Probably going to keep this car for at least 5-8 more years (only at 58K miles) so at that point, it won't matter. I'll try to ask though.

The cop did try to ask me if the car was 'drivable' seeing that the bumper was dragging and I knew if it were towed, 'major accident' would come up so I put it back on the best I could and he let me go.

Driving School. That explains it.

Look at his tire sidewalls, the front one has been rubbed clean on your fender flair, not the rear.
Those lugs are pretty tame, I was visualizing those 6 inch lugs that I see on a lot of trucks, that really stick out.

Definitely not "frame" damage, not even close. your first year body shop kid can easily repair that. it's all light sheet metal work.

btw the rear marks can be buffed out. the one in front by the door, hard to tell what's going on there.

Here was my CT200h which got hit harder. not even this was close to frame damage

True. I don't think there would be much diminished value.

When I traded my 2020 for a 2021 back in January the dealer gave me what it was worth even with two accidents.. Carfax showed my 2 accidents. Rear bumper was repaired and painted and drivers side door was replaced and entire left side repainted. They even discounted the 2021 IS350 by $6000. Go figure...
