Hi everyone, I just purchased the REVEL Medallion Touring-S Axle-Back Exhaust System with Quad Tips (Stainless) for my 2018 IS300 AWD F-Sport. It's been about a week of driving it and I find that it is nice but not as loud as I wanted it to be. Rather it gives off a deep growl at around 2k rpms and anything higher it seems to get more quiet. In comparison to my friend's borla s-type axle-back exhaust system on his 2017 IS300 AWD F-Sport (the only other exhaust i've heard in person), it is much louder and more of what I wanted. I need some opinions on what I should do at this time because I did spend $$$ on this exhaust cause I really liked the quad tip look but obviously dove my head into it without realizing the difference in sound compared to the borla (since sound clips doesn't do exhausts justice). Should I get a mid pipe for it (not sure how to figure out what would be compatible) or should I sell it and get a different exhaust (hopefully without losing too much $)? Is there even a market or demand for the revel exhaust? Also, comparing the two exhausts mentioned above, is the sound difference due to the muffler pressure / design? I find that after the installation of my revel exhaust the car actually revs up slower whereas after my buddies borla installation his car revs up faster. It'd be great if someone can explain this to me. Thanks in advance and let me know if you guys would like sound clips or pictures!

Thanks for the reply! How many miles would you consider it to be broken in? Also, I see that you have an Apexi mid pipe with the axle back, how is that? Does it really open it up a lot more? I'm wondering what mid-pipes are compatible with my revel exhaust...
