What insurance do you use?
I generated insurance quotes from AAA and Geico just to see what an IS 500 would run me and I'm very confused by the different answers I got.
With AAA I selected a 2022 IS 350 and was quoted $290/mo or nearly $3500/yr for both me and my wife.
With Geico, I selected a 2022 IS (it didn't give me a choice in engine) and was quoted $115/mo for similar coverage or $1380/yr.
What on earth? What are you guys using? Should I just go with Geico come the end of the year?

We have AAA. They always come through if there is an issue. Their towing service is invaluable. They will come to my house and replace auto batteries and jump your battery if needed. We have homeowners insurance with them too.

I'm sure it depends on what area you live, age, record ect, rates will be different, but the last time I shopped around ( I called like 20 different ones and wrote all the quotes down) and for me, Allstate was the best price and coverage for me. Try a quote from them and see how it is for you
Also you mentioned that Geico didn't ask for the exact model, so they might go up on their price once you provide the vin # and they see it's a V8.

Thanks all, so far. I'm getting the sense it should not cost $3000 like I was quoted from AAA, and that is somewhat comforting to know lol.

Make sure you don't do minimum coverage to save a few bucks. go big or bigger.
