Noticed the same noise on wife’s 2023 IS350 FS now has 5,000 miles. It sounds like a combination thump/glug and my theory is that it’s the air intake amplifying the sound of the cylinders taking in a glug of air when the intake valve opens on each head. These cars have minimal noise reduction in the CAI path and on the same V6 on another Lexus you wouldn’t hear it as much.

Just a theory.

 

My 2017 GS 350 makes that noise too. That deep thumping. My 2012 IS 350 made that noise too. It's normal.

 

This sound is not NORMAL ! the tick the tack are normal but the WHooh whooh whooh is not
may I ask is your engine oil level ? did you use cheap oil ? put some Mobil 1 Synthetic in there and report back lol.

 

My brand-new 2021 IS 350 was making this noise, too. What are the chances the dealership put "cheap" oil in the car? 😄
