Default Winter tires and rims

I have a 2015 F sport with 225/45/18 & 255/35/18 wheels and tires. I was able to find a deal on 2010 lexus IS wheels with new winter tires that are 225/40R/18. Will having all 4 tires the same size cause me any problem for the winter?

It's the opposite, the less your tire are width more they have grip. Doesn't matter if they are staggered.

In the snow, you will have more grip.

On dry pavement, you will have less grip, however.
