My 2018 IS300 (FSport, AWD, V6) developed an issue where sometimes it cranks for an extended time before starting. That is followed by an initial rough idle or the car will die. There are no codes or check engine light triggered.

Of course, this condition pops up intermittently. I plan to take it in to my Lexus dealer for service, but was curious if any other forum members experienced this issue and what the fix ended up being.

Is your vehicle included in the fuel pump recall? I would check that first, cause the symptoms you describe sound like a lack of fuel pressure.

 

I will have my dealer check to see if it is part of the fuel pump recall. This experience reminds me a bit of my 07 BMW 335i. It had a long crank time issue and it turned out to the high pressure fuel pump.
