i downloaded the lexus app to connect to my 2015 is350. it wont allow me to add my vehicle. when i put in the vin, it pulls up my vehicle info then when i press save, it says check vin number. anybody know how to fix this?

 

Silly question, but do you have a Lexus Enform subscription?

I would recommend asking the dealer to assist if connection continues to be an issue. I've had both my vehicles connected while at the dealer during delivery.

I believe you need an Enform subscription to add your vehicle - though, I could be wrong. Either way, the subscription is required if you want to use any of the app's functions.

 

arentz07 is correct, you need a subscription 100% for app to work, I currently have a subscription to it and I also own a 2015 IS

 

Try to get the subscription and see if it works. There is a chance that the system doesn't recognize your previous membership and you need to refresh the subscription in order to update the information. Also had this problem, it was troublesome because I couldn't watch the screen and see some drawing ideas from partnersinfire.com while I was resting in my car. It was my best way to kill some time, so I had to fix that problem.

 

Won't Enform be worthless on a 2015 after 3G shuts down? I'm thinking my 2016 would be impacted too.

 

It looks like there is no fix to the issue. It will no operate on some models at the of this year.

just curious, is any of the services from the subscription practical other than the remote start?

 

There are the different driving modes, such as Valet Mode, that I think could be valuable. I almost never remember to actually turn it on lol.

There is also a Vehicle Finder if you should forget where you parked. Not the most useful in a parking garage, but pretty good in flat areas.

Also, sometimes it can be nice to remotely check that your doors are locked, your fuel range, etc.
