Question Exhaust tips?

Anybody have a decent solution to cleaning the factory exhaust tips? I tried a little Scotch Brite to the underside of one (in case it scratched), but no real progress. Any advice or recommendations please?

Thanks!

A friend let me use some of his aggressive wheel cleaner, and I got off any caked-on carbon buildup with the help of a dish sponge. It took me a couple of separate passes to get it off. Just be gentle with the dish sponge not to scratch the finish.

Once you clean the buildup off, all you need to do is wipe the exhaust tips occasionally. I just do it whenever I wash the car.

There's also a thread on this from a couple years ago.

I’ve used 0000 grade steel wool on my other cars tips, with great success. It was a suggestion on the forum for that car. Haven’t gotten around to cleaning my IS’s tips, maybe next spring.
