Default Backpain from driver's seat

Recently got a 22 lexus IS 350. After a sitting a short while, I start to feel lower back pain. Anyone experience this with their IS?

No. There is a good amount of lumbar support (which I don't even use), adjust your seat and posture.

These are the best seats in the business.

At first, I used to get back pain on drives longer than 30 min or if I adjusted the seat after having it set for some time. This stopped after about 2 months. I think I just needed to adjust to the new seats and positioning. I came from an M3 and those seats always hurt my back

Well, they’re good, but I don’t think ‘best’ is a label that can be put on them. These are not high end cars.
Within this car’s price range, they are probably very good. But I would have to say the seats in a Mustang GT I rented last year, were probably better (even my wife, who gets back aches on long drives, was happy with those seats).

Sat in 2020 C43 AMG, 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, 2018 M3, and IMO our seats are far superior in comfort and quality. I'm not trying to sound biased because we own this car but that's just my experience.. Technology might be lacking in a Lexus but their seats definitely beat out other manufacturers

This is all subjective anyway

Seats and comfort is very subjective and all based on body type of pre existing injuries - It is purely a personal thing but all car reviewers have praised these seats as one of the best in the industry and personally, I never had car seats that felt this comfortable ever!! But that is just me...

I've tried to make adjustments to the lumbar and seat but still haven't found the right setup.

What lvl of back pain did you have 1 being the lowest 10 being the highest, before your body got adjusted? Right now I'm at about a week of ownership.

Yeah that's I've heard from all the youtube reviews I've seen. I have done a lot of adjustments and still haven't found one that is right.

And it’s possible that you never will. My guess is that these seats are not adjustable enough to get to your comfort zone (my other car is much more adjustable, but then the MSRP is 2x the IS MSRP too, so fortunately my IS fits me). Might want to ‘try on’ some other car models, or even test out a different IS, maybe your seats are just f’d up.

Have to Agree with you on this.

Rented both a Jaguar SUV and an Infinity SUV. Took a UBER ride on a MB C class as well as in a TESLA, Drove my bosses AUDI A8 and his 2020 Land-rover. None of those seats even come close to the comfort and fit level of an IS250 in my opinion. My 2007 IS250 feels more comfortable than my girlfriend's 2015 IS250. But both IS250's hands down beats the others I have mentioned before.

Try adjusting the tilt function of the seat portion. I find discomfort without thigh support, until I tilted the front up most of the way.

True. Most of my discomfort issues went away the more upright I adjusted my seat. No more slouching or driving leaning from the back seats.

I’ve sat in a lot of luxury cars and the F-Sport seats in the 3IS is one of the best if not the best in it’s class. No pain whatsoever for me after driving for 4+ hours. Seat comfort is subjective though since we all have different body types.

With all the seats adjustments I’m sure you can find a setting that is comfortable with you. If not, you might be one of the few who don’t find it comfortable.
