So launch edition comes with all-season tires?
I'm waiting for the non-launch editions because of the price, but they come with summer tires.
I live in NYC and will use this car as a daily driver.
Summer tires are practically useless in winter.
I probably will get Michelin All Season 4 after getting the car.
But what should I do with the brand new summer tires?

EDIT - My suggestion is drive summer tires from April-Oct and then put aftermarket wheels with winter tires for Nov-Mar (+/- 1 month based on your regional climate condition)

 

Does the LE come with run flats?

 

^^ As I just posted in the post just above yours, the LE comes with Bridgestone Potenza S001L which aren't run flats.....and that is why the IS 500 (LE and non-LE) do come with a spare tire in the trunk tray

 

While we are on the topic of tires, has anyone found winter tires that will fit the OEM wheels? I have been looking online and nothing seems to be in stock. Is this more of a supply chain issue or are there just not many options for the size?

 

It's been like that ever since the 2021 IS 350 (which has the same size tires as the 500) has existed.

 

Ahh, good to know. I guess all seasons it is.

 

The optimal route to take would be some aftermarket wheels with wiwinter tires, but if you live somewhere like I do where snow is a maybe one-in-a-decade event, all seasons are good enough for winter. Tbh, once my wife and I move into our new house, I'll probably just run summer tires year round and just be aware of the temperature. I work from home, and her car already has all seasons, so I can just borrow it if I need to.

Point being, everyone's situation is unique.

I'm in the suburbs of Chicago so winter tires or all seasons are needed for the daily, I also have another car with PS4S on it so it doesn't make sense in my case. I might be able to skate by this season though with the stock tires....

The Potenza S001L is a summer tire. That's what comes on the IS 500 (as well as IS 350 RWD models).
