Default Color

Was just looking around for ideas of what mods to put on my car, and noticed some of them having a deep black paint job. Not sure if im going crazy or not, but wasnt sure if this is real?

This is one example, not sure why the picture is darker than it is. Anyway, this seems much darker black than the black paint that i have. Do you think this is edited or is there a darker black paint that can be put on?
If there is a deeper color, is it ok to repaint over the OEM, or whats the pro vs con of repainting?

Probably a pic taken on a cloudy day and maybe even with a filter. It’s a daytime photo, but the overall light level is low. It just looks like a crappy photo to me, nothing special about the paint.

What paint code/name is the paint for your car? There are a couple of them - Obsidian is a solid black paint, and Caviar is a metallic black. In the sunlight, especially, Caviar will appear to be a lighter shade.

The car in the photo is definitely Obsidian if anything, with a superb wax and polish. Everything is blacked out making the car look even blacker than it really is.

This. Tinted windows, chrome delete, black pearl emblems and it appears that the tails have been smoked as well (you can tell by the clear reverse light area is black). This just begs the question.....why not tint, smoke or wrap the bumper reflectors that stand out like a sore thumb now.
