Default Does white interior stain easily?

Apologies if this has been discussed in another thread, didn’t have much luck finding anything on topic.

For those who have the white NuLuxe interior, how has your experience been with keeping it looking new? Does it stain easily? Do blue jeans leave blue smudges on the seats like in some Acuras? My understanding is that NuLuxe is just an incredibly fancy vinyl, and I didn’t have much issue keeping marine grade white vinyl on boats looking clean in the past.

any colour stains especially from jeans, it just comes down to how easily you see it. With proper care you can keep it clean.

Jororo - As you know, I had a 2021 White on White and was my FAVORITE car combo ever!! I tried getting my IS 500 is that combo but the dealer couldn't get a custom order so I was left with a white/red interior which I really like as well but the white interior, in the 1 year of ownership, was not an issue at all for me. That being said, I never had wet jeans in it so I am not sure if that would cause an issue (I never drove my car when it rained) but as far as stain and such, I had zero issue with mine. The white interior is SO elegant and offers the perfect contrasting

If you like the white, I'd say go for it. Just be prepared to A) clean the seats regularly, which isn't too big a task IMO and B) make sure to wash any jeans or darkly-dyed pants before wearing - something I already do as a general rule, but I know many don't bother lol.

I would ceramic coat the seats as well. Gyeon makes one that is easy to use; it is called Leather Shield. The coating will last about a year. Lots of Tesla owners with white interiors swear by the stuff.

If you get white interior, make sure you wipe your butt well after using the bathroom.

I had asked a woman about her white interior - 2021 IS350. She has 2 small kids (1 in a booster seat and another still in a baby car seat), and in the almost year of owning the car she's had no issues with keeping the seats white. Not sure if her interior gets much contact from jeans though.

Perfect info … we have one 18mo and hopefully another on the way soon, so this woman has faced the exact situation that keeps my wife from signing off on the white interior.

If you wear suites and sport gear no stains or stress in the seat. But if you wear jeans say good buy to white seats. Jeans has a dye and the back pocket will stress the seats when jumping in and out of the car

I don’t know about that. I’ve never had any problem with white seats, vinyl or leather, getting discolored from wearing jeans, my preferred material.
But then, I only have to buy new jeans every 10-15 years (or more), so maybe all the transferable dye has already been washed out.

Just wash the jeans before wearing. Problem solved. I've never had jeans stain anything - if anything they might discolor my clothes in the wash haha.

Sometimes darker jeans may require multiple washes.

Here's a video that was posted yesterday of someone with their IS350 w/ white interior after a year. Honestly, it looks gross. This has changed my mind about white interiors.

I would take this video with a large grain of salt. The steering wheel is also ruined. As an almost-one-year owner of an IS as well, my steering wheel looks nowhere near that shiny. Just shows this person doesn't really understand interior cleaning.

edit: Also why is there like 60 seconds of nothing at the end of the video lmao

Having said that, I also don't know that I would choose white unless it was in conjunction with Infrared. That is a winning combo I'd be willing to risk it on.
