Information Display black, does the 2017 10.3" Display work with the 2016?
Hello! My Information Display in my 2016 Lexus IS350 went black. The reverse camera works OK. I tried a few things but wasn't able to resolve it. I need some help with some questions:
1- If I go the route of installing the 4x4shop unit, will the Lexus system still work on the new unit?
2- Can I install a 10.3" Display into the 2016 car? something like this? https://www.ebay.com/itm/19436441575...-desc-maincntr
3- will this work?

To Answer your questions:
1. No...the factory system has to function normally before the Android screen install for it to function normally after. The issue with the black screen is due to the radio, not the screen
2. A straight install...no. You would need a 2017 radio as well as the applicable wire harness/wires
3. It should work...that ad is mislabeled for fitment years and part number, but it should work.
Just to clarify...the black screen is caused by the radio, not the screen. If you are replacing the screen is hopes of fixing the black screen problem, it won't.
If your backup camera works then the screen is fine.

Ya, I am not too happy with it either! I am not even sure what the radio number is, any idea? When someone says radio, which part of the vehicle are we referring to?

Too many people in Ontario getting this now, we should come together and storm the dealership lmao. I still have the issue on my 2014, been procrastinating on getting it fixed. Part of me also refuses to give Lexus any money for an issue that's such BS as well.

Some ebay sellers list the totaled car, and as your link posted, title it "radio receiver", they're just too lazy to take it out until someone expresses interest in buying it. I would message that person (if your configuration matches) and ask them to negotiate the price.

P10991 is a Canadian Mark Levinson radio...for the 15 speaker system.
P11010 is a US radio for the 8 speaker system...technically it will still work.
The P11012 in the other ad I'm not sure about. I wonder if they got the faceplate ID wrong and it's really P11010.

If the P11010 is installed, will my 15 speaker system work properly or only the 8 will work?

Found a scrap yard with a P11003, this seems like it's Canada Spec but for a 8 speaker system. If I install this, will only 8 speakers work?

The speakers are all connected to the Amp, so in reality all 15 speakers should/will work.
The difference is the wattage being pushed from the head unit to the Amp. The stereo won't sound as good as it did before, but if you're not really an audiophile you likely may not notice the difference.
If you get a used radio it MUST come with the Micro SD card...you can't use the one from your radio.
