How often do you guys change your oil on your IS

My last oil change was done 11k KMs at a shop, where I supplied them with Castrol Extended Edge Performance. I was supposed to get it changed at 8k.
I had a P0013 CEL pop up 500 kms ago, cleared it and it came up again 100kms ago. First thing to I read do is change the oil which makes sense since there is a lot of dirty oil left in the engine that gets diluted with new when you do a typical oil change. I do 90% city driving short distances and the CEL hasn't popped up since, but I am getting another oil change in week anyway just to be sure.

Hmm, everywhere else I've read that the oil change interval is 10k miles or 16k km. You have services every 8k, but only every odd one is an oil change. i.e., you'd get it changed at 16k km and then again at 32k km, but you'd also have service at 24k km (which is mostly just checking fluid levels and such).

It depends on your driving but change it at least once a year based on your mileage.
16,000 km is the spec interval based on the average driving millage for Canadian drivers being 24,000 km a year, I average 8,000 km a year so I change my oil with synthetic every year when I put on my winter wheels.
