In march a piece of metal debris hit my undercarriage on the highway. Had to get new subframe and exhaust, all repairs were done at Dealers body shop. Would you recommended against buying the car out, like my initial plan. Buyout is about $26,000 CDN, current market has my car going for $38k.
Other options walk away from it in a few weeks, or buy it out and try to resell to recover some of the possible equity.

as long as the repair was good and it drives fine. no need to worry. i'd rather have a known than an unknown (next car you buy) you don't knnow what happened to it, despite what records may say.

this might make sense for someone if buying/leasing a car weren't absolutely terrible right now. if the car was repaired properly, though, i wouldn't worry a whole ton about it, given that he's still driving the car and doesn't mention that it drives differently.

As for the leased car, yeah I would say to buy it out is a good option right now. New cars are pretty expensive, and used ones are even more expensive. If the car has been properly repaired and drives well, it'll be fine.
