Default 2023 IS350 update

2023 IS update

Color - Incognito/Obsidian

IS 300/IS 350 F SPORT
The 2023 IS 300 and IS 350 F SPORT models continue to offer powerful performance and exceptional craftmanship. For 2023, the IS 350 will be offered in a new F SPORT Design grade for both RWD and AWD configurations. All the carefully curated F SPORT exterior styling treatments including bumpers, grille, rear lip spoiler and badging can be found on the updated IS 350 F SPORT Design, including the 19-inch F SPORT alloy wheels.

In addition, IS 350 F SPORT will add a Handling Package for 2023, which offers Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), Torsen Limited-Slip Rear Differential on RWD models and Drive Mode Select with Sport S/S+ and Custom Modes. The 19-inch Matte Black BBS forged alloy wheels can also be added to this package.

For 2023, the IS 350 F SPORT will offer an exclusive Special Appearance Package, which includes a unique exterior combination featuring Incognito paint accented by an Obsidian black hood and roof, complemented by black NuLuxeŽ interior. To complete this distinctive look, the package also offers 19-inch Enkei alloy wheels with a dark finish. A limited 480 units will be produced and will go on sale this fall.

I guess that'll be a 4th-gen thing. I just don't see Lexus figuring a way to bolt up the current V35A engine to the older IS platform.

edit: And it is entirely possible the next-gen "IS 350" will actually use the T24A-FTS, as we've seen the "350" moniker applied to other cars with this engine, like the NX 350 and RX 350.

I am confused by the new F Sport Design/F Sport Handling stuff. Like why does the "design" car not come with F Sport interior? Seems really odd.

I agree. I am not a fan of the F Sport Design concept. They are doing the same on the ES though. F Sport Exterior, base model interior. And the price difference between the Design and true F Sport is very small. Not sure they will really sell any Designs. It's a watered down F Sport that is solely designed to get people into the brand so they can say that they too own a Lexus.

I can definitely see that in my age group. i wouldn't mind for my ES, f sport exterior enhancements like the grill and dark trim, but but not wanting to go all in with the young man interior/seats.

Kinda like the Ct200h F Sport. mostly exterior with samey (if not same) seats. nothing wrong with having options.

as far as the black hood... big nope.

Because some people like the look and the engine from the IS350 but prefer the color options of the IS300's interior. Also, it's a slightly cheaper model for those who don't care for all the extra stuff in the F Sport package.

Makes sense. Feels like Lexus made a mistake making the IS 350 an F Sport-exclusive. This change in the trim back-pedals that decision somewhat.

Honestly, my 350 is in the spec that has no performance-enhancing options. I do, however, get the good interior.

Still loving the Circuit Red interior.

And what exactly is the different front bumper and grille on the F-sport design? Not seeing any images....

The weirdest part for me is that now F Sport models can come WITHOUT the digital sliding tachometer. That’s never happened before.

Wow...that is hideous. Good grief. Luckily they're only making a few of those.

If that's the case, and the price didnt drop, perhaps decontenting? Unless they added additional things, which I'm not seeing yet. Need more info about the 2023s.

The new cheaper 'F-Sport Design' comes with the base model tach. Nothing is changes for the regular F sport tach. All the info in on the Lexus websight.

The configurator is up. So it looks like the new entry F-Sport (design) brings the model slightly closer to the non-F-Sports. In addition to the old-style tachometer, you can now get Glazed Caramel and they also brought back Rioja Red. The upgraded F-Sport sticks with the white, Circuit Red, and black interior colors. I don't see any difference on the bumpers or any other exterior trim. I think it's great they brought back a "tan" interior option for the F-Sport. Taking out the sliding tach is a curious move though, but probably something to pull people up to the higher priced model. As much as I dislike needles that point to 6 o'clock, I'd miss the option.

For my own knowledge, the newly optional limited slip, adaptive suspension, and drive mode select have all been standard on the F-Sport until now, correct?

One of the biggest misses is not making Incognito available across the board. It has been one of the most popular and trendy car colors since the days of the last Scion tC, but Lexus isn't giving it out other than with very limited editions. Also can't wrap my head around the new black hood. Is that supposed to simulate the carbon-fiber look? I know about the black roof trend, but I've not seen a black hood thing before. Maybe Lexus is starting something.

I agree, the ability to get a tan interior on a F Sport is nice... but, it does not get the F Sport interior, like the gauge cluster and seat design. I think that is a bit of a shame.

The black hood would've made sense if it were matte black. You see this sometimes on more performance-oriented cars to reduce glare and reflections for track driving.

This is a great move by Lexus, they have now separated the $2450.00 BBS black wheels from the F Sport Handling Pkg.

For 2022, If you wanted the F Sport w adaptive suspension you were forced to pay extra for the BBS wheel pkg. The 2022 F Sport Handling Pkg price was $4200.00

For 2023 they are only charging $1160.00 for the F Sport Handling Pkg and it comes with the adaptive suspension and regular smoked chrome wheels (which I think look nicer)
