I guess that'll be a 4th-gen thing. I just don't see Lexus figuring a way to bolt up the current V35A engine to the older IS platform.
edit: And it is entirely possible the next-gen "IS 350" will actually use the T24A-FTS, as we've seen the "350" moniker applied to other cars with this engine, like the NX 350 and RX 350.
I am confused by the new F Sport Design/F Sport Handling stuff. Like why does the "design" car not come with F Sport interior? Seems really odd.

I can definitely see that in my age group. i wouldn't mind for my ES, f sport exterior enhancements like the grill and dark trim, but but not wanting to go all in with the young man interior/seats.
Kinda like the Ct200h F Sport. mostly exterior with samey (if not same) seats. nothing wrong with having options.
as far as the black hood... big nope.

Honestly, my 350 is in the spec that has no performance-enhancing options. I do, however, get the good interior.
Still loving the Circuit Red interior.

Pole Position
The weirdest part for me is that now F Sport models can come WITHOUT the digital sliding tachometer. Thats never happened before.

Wow...that is hideous. Good grief. Luckily they're only making a few of those.

The new cheaper 'F-Sport Design' comes with the base model tach. Nothing is changes for the regular F sport tach. All the info in on the Lexus websight.

The configurator is up. So it looks like the new entry F-Sport (design) brings the model slightly closer to the non-F-Sports. In addition to the old-style tachometer, you can now get Glazed Caramel and they also brought back Rioja Red. The upgraded F-Sport sticks with the white, Circuit Red, and black interior colors. I don't see any difference on the bumpers or any other exterior trim. I think it's great they brought back a "tan" interior option for the F-Sport. Taking out the sliding tach is a curious move though, but probably something to pull people up to the higher priced model. As much as I dislike needles that point to 6 o'clock, I'd miss the option.
For my own knowledge, the newly optional limited slip, adaptive suspension, and drive mode select have all been standard on the F-Sport until now, correct?
One of the biggest misses is not making Incognito available across the board. It has been one of the most popular and trendy car colors since the days of the last Scion tC, but Lexus isn't giving it out other than with very limited editions. Also can't wrap my head around the new black hood. Is that supposed to simulate the carbon-fiber look? I know about the black roof trend, but I've not seen a black hood thing before. Maybe Lexus is starting something.

The black hood would've made sense if it were matte black. You see this sometimes on more performance-oriented cars to reduce glare and reflections for track driving.

This is a great move by Lexus, they have now separated the $2450.00 BBS black wheels from the F Sport Handling Pkg.
For 2022, If you wanted the F Sport w adaptive suspension you were forced to pay extra for the BBS wheel pkg. The 2022 F Sport Handling Pkg price was $4200.00
For 2023 they are only charging $1160.00 for the F Sport Handling Pkg and it comes with the adaptive suspension and regular smoked chrome wheels (which I think look nicer)
