Regear research
Really enjoying this car but the gearing makes for a difficult time on the street to enjoy some of the cars power, 3rd gear gete in to impound territory. I think the car could really benefit from a set of gears in the rear end.
My research shows 3.13 stock ratio and a is350 with the torsen at 3.77, that would really wake this car up as well as give a little more room in the first 3 gears for entertainment.
Can anyone confirm the ring and pinion gear dimensions on/ either of the two cars? I haven't found much information on any of the 3is cars, I'm gonna assume the housings are different maybe someone with better part number cross reference skills can elaborate?

I’m already in the process of doing so with my 2018 RWD. You have to order the final gear kit along with the other parts that are not included with the final gear kit such as bearings, crush washers, snap rings, oil seals… etc. I ordered online from YoshiParts and the part number for the final gear kit is 41201-80722.

Someone with an LC did this. Changed the ratio with a swap from the LC500 gears to the LC500h gears:

Love the idea. I'm curious as to its feasibility, so please keep us all informed! Our final drive ratio is one of the big things holding our cars back IMO. I know Lexus/Toyota originally wanted to squeeze an additional mpg or two out of this car, but I'd gladly trade lower fuel economy for additional acceleration.

Can you confirm ring gear and pinion sizes to fit the housing of the 500 and onto the torsen differential?
I looked into this thread couldn't confirm the ring and pinion gears being the same size as the is500 I'll look into that thread again, I want to retain the torsen and would rather not swap entire carriers and deal with that headache of mounting differences.
