If you are trying to ask whether it's a good idea, that depends. What are you hoping to do with the car? Do you have any long-term goals, or was it just a daily?
Honestly, I always cringe when I see a low-mileage IS 500 for sale... 3500 miles means you probably have not even fully experienced the car. If the IS 500 is like my 350 was, I expect to grow to like mine more and more over time. I ended up appreciating the 350 a lot more right before I decided to go IS 500. So I say, "no", unless, of course, you only have so much budget/garage space and need to make room for something else.

Yeppers. I wonder the same and in addition, just how badly was this car mistreated? I have seen posts where folks with back problems couldn’t daily the car which was the point of the purchase.
