Buying 2022 IS500, upfront 35k CAD, is it a good deal?

Decided to call off the deal after everyone's feedback. I think it was a good decision, I will wait for the car market to cool down since I don't need anything now. Thanks everyone!

Seems like the right decision. $71K + tax for a vehicle with 20K km seems a bit steep I think. Checking out new car inventories at the various dealerships around the GTA shows a few available for ~$77K, plus or minus. The thing I'd most be worried about is how many of those 20,000 km were abusive kilometers. Give it some time to settle as you say, and you're not in a rush anyways.

there's no rush, especially if you are modding it, Japan just got the car this year and some jdm aftermarket companies is in the process of R&D for parts like lip kits...
