Default BBS wheels holding up?

How are everyone’s BBS matte black wheels holding up? I am already noticing scratches etc on them which seem to be normal in Midwest but kinda sucks I won’t lie.

Rims already scratched with less than 2k miles. My guess it’s from a rock.

^^ I don't have BBS wheels on mine but I have partially black wheels on my Spark and I find they show scratches easily despite how careful I am! That is why I despite black wheels, they are so sensitive!!

On a side note, I saw a youtube video of an RC in Incognito with the 350 OEM wheels and I am kicking myself for not getting a LE when I had a chance, the color with those wheels look BREATHTAKING!

if I didn't park next to curbs, mine would still in good shape!

With 1900 miles, I have a few small scratches on my rear driver's side wheel. It looked like maybe a rock got kicked up and hit the wheel. I had a couple spots like that on the F Sport wheels on my IS 350 as well, though, nothing as noticeable as these.

Yeah most of this is dirt, I’m really talking mostly about this what’s circled below. They aren’t as noticeable and are more magnified with flash etc. I also have scratches along the beads of the rims. It’s weird cause I noticed this after getting my tires changed and I’m starting to believe that it might have been caused by the dealer.

I have tire and wheel protection but I’m not sure I feel comfortable using it because I really don’t want one rim mismatching another. I emailed my SA to see what he thinks, it’s where I bought the car but I would be shocked to see him admit anything.

I wish I could just bite the bullet and powder coat these Matte black but with the forged aluminum - it apparently messes with the integrity lol.

its been hard today going through this as I’m **** as it gets with my car being fully wrapped but now I guess I can drive it with no regard?

not sure lol

that’s how mine were for the longest but after this recent dealer trip they are banged up. Not noticeable to the general public but noticeable to me. On further inspection it seems like mishandling by the tech.

it’s on all 4 rims. They aren’t going to give me all 4 new wheels. But I’m in touch with the dealer to see what’s going on and what the resolution is. Might just accept a fix at this point.

This is kind of what prompted me to purchase the wheel protection package. Aside from the inevitable wife curbing (haha) I figured rotations or mounting replacement tires, normal road wear on a matte finish, etc.

I’ve washed mine 5-6 times now and I’ve been hesitant to use any sort of wheel cleaner. Just been hitting them with the same soap and water as the rest of the car and a long soft-bristle brush or mitt. I’m just too paranoid what some of the “gentle” sprays might do to that finish.

I am at 5100K miles and mine are still cherry new and hoping I can keep them that way! I spotted a 22 like mine (atomic and red interior) but with the 22 silver wheels obviously. I initially wanted those. Now after I have seen them on a car, I am glad I have my matte black BBS.

I can’t lie I’m jealous of y’all. I wish I but the bullet and just bought winter wheels with the tires. I have tire and wheel protection too, I just have zero clue and idea if it’s hard to match the matte black.

actually when I was taking pictures of the damage, someone drove by (I hate Chicago) said that’s a big scratch. I was like “I know I think the dealership ****ed it up” he was like “bro I don’t see anything”

so more or less the detail oriented might see the damage if they are looking hard but in the normal sunlight today it was barely visible unless your looking for it
