It slides over the under-seat air vents, redirecting the airflow from straight back (directed at a rear passenger's toes) to upward and into the driver and front passenger seat ventilator fans, cooling the seats faster. It's 3D-printed; you can buy the finished product (made by "Hold My Beer Engineering", in this case) or buy the printer file and go DIY if you have a 3D printer (I don't).

It does. Tried it out on a short trip with my kid. He gave it two thumbs up and we eventually had to redirect the A/C because it became too butt-chilly. (I'm in Texas.)

Awesome! If I'm not mistaken this is an etsy product?

Yes, I purchased it here. If you go to the seller's main store, you can find the STL file for six bucks.

Nice! This will take care of one of my biggest gripes. The ventilated seats are virtually nonexistent on a hot day.

I thought these vents sucked air from up-top and draw air from your but down into the bottom of the seat. So in a sense it's a ventalation system not a cooler. Dos this mod require the ventilation to be off?

If you look at the bottom of the seats, the fan blows cold air from the vent beneath the seat to try and cool your tush. This device actually directs the air upwards through the seat directly. More effective cooling.

Awesome! Looking forward to clips. As 95% of my driving is now for pleasure rather than commuting, the itch to add an axle back or something for a little more growl is stronger than ever.

i gotta check how it works. In my old GS350 i'm pretty sure the air flow direction was top to bottom, contrary to what people would assume. It's possible that regardless if i'm right, it's possible the cold air redirection is overcoming the strength of the airflow in the opposite direction.

It is for the RC-F 2015+. The axle back bolts up to the IS500 without modification
