I was thinking about upgrading it to the newer AOS too. I don't have any issue with the current R2 AOS but is it necessary?

Does anyone know the major benefit of switching to the ultimate AOS version?

I believe the oil catch can is magnetic now so it's easier to remove and dump the oil, as well as, a dipstick to see if your can is full of oil vs having to look at the glass that is somewhat more difficult to visualize. I also believe the tubings are thicker so that oil will not eat through the tubing and leak. This flaw may have been fixed with the original AOS, so I may be incorrect in that assumption.

Thank you. I might think about it or at least upgrade to newer thicker tubings. I don't have leaks with AOS R2 versions but tubing/hoses can be improved. Sometimes, I find a very small mist of oil residue on the outside hoses.

Mine was leaking badly so I definitely jump on the new one when the preorder was announced.

Unfortunately I forgot to take pics of the final install as I was excited to get my bucket on the ground on the road to see if the mod was worth it….and it was!!! I R2 my crank pulley with blue @RRRacing light weight pulley. Install was pretty easy. The difference is night and day! The throttle is way lighter even if you’re not pushing the car very hard. As every review, first through third gear rip through the RPM range. I can only imagine what this mod and a throttle controller would be like…or better yet ecu tune. I only changes the crank pulley and not the pumps. Again, bummer I forgot to take pics of the end product I’ll add pics of the stock as proof for those interweb non-believers. Haha.

Make sure all your hardware is torqued with loctite.

Already know! instructions didn't call for it, but added some anti-seize to crank shaft, thread lock to the bolt and locked down to 242 ft/lbs

Added these CF cover panels. Gives me something to do while waiting for my AOS and USRS from RR Racing.

I think my IS500 has experienced the coldest temps of any one on here. It was -36 on my drive into work this morning; that's -33 fahrenheit.

Wow that's cold! You still have the Bridgestone tires?

it takes long enough already to get up to operating temps here! It must have taken a while?

Yesterday I installed project mu ns-c pads to replace the pads on the BBMS (Brembo GT) BBK.

this is the rear PMu pads compared to OEM. I forgot to take pics of the fronts, but similar comparison in size difference.

planning on doing a more detailed post on the RCF brake upgrade thread once I break them in/bed them.
