What have you done to your IS500 today?

FWIW the intake growls a little, the LCA doesnt make your steering stiff or uncomfortable and if anything maybe softened it given I have swift springs. It’s been pouring rain all day so no fun but man do those Michelin All Seasons grip up.

Did a full detail minus any paint correction steps. I wanted to try layering on Gyeon Q2 wax over the existing cquartz UK coating to see how it works out as a sealant.
Definitely have some water spotting because of winter and the inability to do full proper washes but not too bad. I’ll probably wait another year or two before doing a full coating strip + paint correction
my 2024 detailing stack:
Snow foam - koch chemie gsf
degreaser - carpro reset
iron remover - ironx
tar remover - tarx
long term ceramic coating - cquartz UK
sealant - nv jet, trying out gyeon Q2 wax this time though
wheel cleaner - NV purge
tyre cleaner - carpro retyre
tyre dressing/sealant - carpro darkside
interior - carpro inside
interior sealant - 303 aerospace sealant
glass compound - glaco compound
glass sealant - glaco ultra
and the multitude of different products I have but these are going to be what I use primarily for the season.
Completed detail
Letting wax cure

Installed this beautiful custom steering wheel to match my Blue Vector!
Couple of notes:
1) The battery was disconnected for about an hour or so while I installed. Upon reconnecting, the parking assist function was not working. Just had to drive the car for a few minutes and the warning lights went away.
2) I didn't align the wheel perfectly when I put it back on so it leans a little bit to the left and the car drifts to the right slightly if I let the wheel go. Will just take it for an alignment to get it fixed unless anyone has any other suggestions?
3) The steering wheel has heating functionality but after installing, when I push the heating button it works for about 5 seconds then it turns itself off. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what are the possible solutions?

@Brosquito the steering wheel and steering shaft should be notched for alignment of steering wheel when removed or installed. it should only go on one way, unless the new wheel you put on was universal with no notch

TurkishRambo - I see you have a passion for detailing cars too - Those are fine products and I carry some of the same products/tools you displayed. I can't wait to get going on mine soon, snow is all gone but there is the on-going threat of snow so I am always a bit hesitant to get going. My new garage is just an oasis for detailers!

Just got my 24 IS back from getting the windows tinted, PPF full front (up to the windshield) and ceramic coated. Once it cures by next week, I'll be out driving! And I ordered my new plate...custom!

Looks great!
I think Bechtold has the same PPF. I think he said it doesn't stop every little micro pebble/pit but it helps a lot. His Atomic Silver paint looks amazing to me after 30k+ miles.
Btw, birds really don't like my car lol. More birdcrap on the drivers side door this morning. I rarely park under trees either.

Aw dang, sorry about that lol.
I guess there was a thread about PPF and I thought you were in it. Maybe it was another Texas IS 500 owner?
Ok I double checked lol. It was GoHorns.
