You can absolutely do that. Best practice is to keep the same make and model of tire thiugh of course. The idea behind a square setup is to allow you to rotate the tires and even the wear out ao that you go longer on all 4 and replace all 4 at about the same time.

It also helps with handling as your adding front grip to the car.

What did you end up paying for the 2 rear wheels alone?

I personally love this idea as the front always felt "under-tired" given the weight of the car.

Feels good. It seems more planted not sure if its cause of the tires being new or if its the stance.. But so far so good.. I guess I will find out how worth it is depending on how long the they last lol

I personally replace all 4 at the same time. The one time I replaced the rears on my 350 and left the fronts, the car did not feel stable above 80mph. The front of the car felt like ice skates, so they were replaced a week later and I never did that again.

I have not experienced uneven wear, but I also get them rebalanced twice a year.
