What I meant was they are going to kill the V6 which does not have Direct Injectors nor turbos or any with a Hybrid power train on a TNGA platform. Trading the reliability for Comfort, Driving and EPA. I wonder if they can really design the bumpers without falling off like that Highlander.

flowrider - You watch, Lexus being Lexus, they'll probably void the engine warranty if they discover that piece in the bumper saying that it negatively impacted the engine performance by altering the doodad that runs the map flow to the throttle body house that links with the electric seats. Not to mention it will likely short the CD player and the cigarette lighter so I may stick to the zip tie just to be safe (LMAO)

JUST KIDDING - Once this is available, I am getting mine ASAP!

Look, folks, I've said it before, and I'll say it again: we can't be caught napping at the wheel. We need to buckle down and get this done.

I had the TSB performed, and the bumper popped back out. Took it back to the dealer, and Lexus is refusing to fix it. They are now saying I need a whole new bumper because the "bumper tabs are broken." Going to give Lexus corporate one last shot at making it right. Seriously doubt I will ever buy a Lexus again. Such a disappointing ownership experience.

I think it sucks what you're all going through. Anecdotally, I don't have this issue after 14 months and a little over 5k miles. Feels like a matter if "not if, but when" but I'll keep my eyes and ears open.

The dealer is paying for the new bumper?

Damn, that is some bull****! I'd be pissed off beyond words. I don't blame you for wanting to ditch Lexus. All cars have issues, a good dealership makes all the difference.

So Lexus won't warranty a faulty bumper falling off even after their own incredibly cheap and ridiculous TSB possibly broke the tabs? What the (censored) is going on over there in Lexus land...

They did the TSB knowing there was a problem with the bumper. If the tabs are now broken it seems to me like they caused it with the TSB. Its lawyer time.

Sad to hear this. Lexus really dropped the ball hard with this TSB. Many folks who do not read forums are really going to get screwed bad. Official TSB blowing off the Bumper is unacceptable on top 2K for a new bumper which will have paint mismatch as it will.be done by some local body shop collaboration with Dealership.. I wonder if you can try the Lemon law if nothing works out. Garbage Stealership and Despicable Lexus. I remember TSB has 48K miles on warranty, doesn't it ?

Folks buy the 2UR and old Lexus for reliability but nowadays thats a long shot as well. How far the industry has fallen.

GoHorns - There is NO WAY you should be responsible for paying for a new bumper. The front clip separated, they applied their TSB and the thing didn't work as many suspected it wouldn't - Their attempt to fix it made it worse (as in the case of Pittsy) so you are not responsible for this and should not get to pay for a new bumper, which BTW, will have the same issue as they have not changed the mold for the bumper. I would call Lexus corporate and file a complaint and if that fails, call a lawyer IMO.

BTW - For all of you debating getting the TSB applied, please dont!!! Lexus seems to have made an already bad situation even worse from what we can see, unless its the dealer who performed it that did a poor job but so far, we have 2 for 2 that we know, where the TSB failed miserably
