(I'm so sorry about the pollen, everyone. I just can't keep up with it!)

My driver separation was pretty severe. I did the "try first" black block and seemed to have fixed it! passenger side is fine, so I won't touch that one.

This is Effing AWESOME!!!

If you’re not on the two IS500 FB pages, then I’ll share your post there. Although, since Cyrus was sold out, people got up off their a$$e$ and ordered the fix! 😍🥰

Any chances that the fix would work on the IS350? I took my car in to dealership yesterday and they said they’d take a look at it only to get a video today saying they found small damage under the bumper (I don’t believe it caused the separation) that forced the bumper to pop out. The bumper separation is literally the same as everyone else here and is on the same drivers side smh.

I’m not an engineer, but I doubt the underpinnings would be different. Doesn’t hurt to try!

There's currently someone waiting to try it on their IS350 so we can see whether or not it will work. Not so sure yet, the bracket part number is different. Either way it could be adapted I'm sure, I just have no idea how many is350 have the issue to know if it's worth it or not.

understood! Please let me know any updates on that. Seems like it’s definitely affecting more IS500s as I haven’t really seen any 350s with the issue apart from myself.

The bumper bracket number is the same on the 350 and 500 (52143D) so it should work on the 350 too. The only difference is the 500 bumper is longer than the 350 but the attach points to the bracket are identical.

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification. I got off a call with the sales manager at my dealership and he said he’s going to handle the issue with the bumper himself even though the service center refuses to help so fingers crossed. If not then I don’t mind being another guinea pig from the IS350 side.

^^ Whatever you do, be sure they dont try that Service Bulletin with zip tie and epoxy! That was a disaster a dealer damaged a front bumper. For me, i would try these pieces first, they are inexpensive, unintrusive, easy to install and work...at least i would try this before the dealer even attempts to repair it...but that is just me!
