I'm not having them touch the bumper. I am fully satisfied with the fix as is. I just want to know what Lexus plans on doing with their next TSB (if it does happen)

MY23 16000km Canadian model

Perhaps I applied too much pressure when I hand wash the bumper

It's hard to say when or why it'll pop out. I hit a heavy duty plastic Home Depot bucket on the highway going 60 MPH and cracked the bottom air vent but the bumper never popped out or even looked like it was about to pop out. While replacing the air vent I pushed and pulled on the bumper since the area was so tight and still nothing. It's just hit or miss .

I was adjusting something and looking at how the bolts hold the fender to the body I noticed it was at max tolerance. I hypothesize the tolerance is off on the bumper holder which causing it not to be held strongly enough.

Does anyone know the part # for the white bumper support clip? Would like to have a spare one just in case before trying to install the fix. My car's history (I'm the 3rd owner) shows multiple claims for the issue, looks like they even had a body shop install a new "support bracket" previously. Hopefully the bumper tabs are OK and will be able to lock in with the fix in place.

White bumper support clip? Doesn’t ring any bells, where does it go?

Lexus part number 52197-30040 and can also be found here Front Bumper Seal It's the same part number for the rear bumper.

Any chance the bumper separation could lead to a popping noise when braking coming to stop firm? I’m getting a strange pop noise from the front left wheel well if stopping in certain conditions. I know very ambiguous but pretty sure it’s not suspension related.

Very doubtful. More than likely the brake pads. The wheel isn’t loose is it? You never know

It took all of 5 minutes to install the @cyfi66 fix and the bumper looks great after several trips. I have a LE and the separation was getting worse and worse on the driver side. Will report back after more miles, but so far, so great!
