Saw this in one of the FB groups, owner has the block fix and thinks the additional pressure caused the tab to break. Hopefully he is on here and will provide a little more info. First time I've seen anyone report something like this after installing the block.

When I put my block in, there was very slight damage on that bracket section for me. Not nearly as bad as this, so this is definitely odd.

I don’t know… I think the bumper got snagged on something. Hope he’s able to get it fixed soon.

This is a massive amount of damage to a fairly robust bumper mold. It looks like they hit something pretty hard to cause that tear. Bumps and gravity would have a hard time doing this.

Considering how dirty and scrapped up that front wheel is, I suspect they hit something pretty hard or have been hitting other things .

As I've mentioned before, I hit a heavy duty Home Depot bucket on the highway going 60 MPH and broke the bottom right air vent, the bumper clips held up nicely.

Several people had asked if he ran into something, but he was adamant that he did not. His assumption is that the block caused extra pressure on the mounting tab. Just thought I'd share it here to have a record of it, hopefully an isolated case.

Yeah it's hard to say what happened there, I'd be happy to talk to him about it if he wants to and he can contact me via the store he bought it on. Can't really speculate without any other information. But I agree that I would imagine it would take a lot of force to tear the bumper tab off like that. In my testing I was able to pull the bumper tab out of the clip even with the block in place without damaging anything, it just took a little more effort.
