Front seat is perfect for me, but we're all different. This is a small car.

Want y'all to know I am still here, reading. Thank you for your feedback. Nothing out of the ordinary that would steer me away. No recalls or odd codes thrown? I saw the one on adding rear brakes, not something I would do. Fronts maybe if necessary and practical.
Please, continue.

Reading all the comments, I agree with almost everything here. Was even reminded of a couple things I forgot I didn't like XD
Interior/Ergonomics/Body:
1) No logical place for your sunglasses or phone except for the cupholders. Really wish they deleted the trackpad for a cubby or wireless charger.
2) The center console hinges back? Why does it not hinge right like on the ES? I'm the driver! I look like a T-rex when I reach in there with my right hand.
3) USB connection does not like my old iPod. When I got to Artists or Albums it just selects... the same one album. I can't look at anything else. I can only go to Songs and hit random to access all my music.
4) One-touch unlock only unlocks driver's door and trunk. Have to use the controls on the armrest of the fob to unlock all doors. I usually am alone but this is annoying.
5) Is there a way to stop the engine from shutting off when I open the door after having used remote start? I don't understand this design.
6) Auto-folding mirrors would be nice, and a courtesy to other people in tight parking situations.
7) This one is probably the worst for me: the Camera View button is in a completely illogical location. I love the function but always have to LOOK DOWN to find the damn button that should be literally anywhere else.
Driving:
1) The kickdown when you, say, want to beat a stale yellow light, is tough to regulate. Sometimes when I give it throttle, maybe I'll jump down two gears, or once in a while I'll embarrass myself in town and it'll kick down five gears and the engine will just SCREAM at all of 45 miles per hour.
2) I like that the brakes aren't overly sensitive and unnatural like a lot of Toyota products, but man, when you're at speed and need to slow down, it REALLY could use more braking power. The brakes can't seem to overcome the full use of the power when needed.
3) Wish there was an option for 18" OEM wheels, these tires are borderline rubber bands, and when I hit any dip or pothole I just clench up.
My plans are to do more research on the USB issue (may just put music on a stick or God forbid burn some CDs), get used to putting sunglasses in the door card, and just get over everything else. I didn't pay for a GS-F or LC500 and I shall live with the consequences![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

1) The delay in hitting the paddleshifter to downshift and actually shift is a killer. First couple of times i hit it twice thinking I didnt engage the contact point, glad I was low enough in the rpm range.
2) The rear seat notification when locking the car remotely. If you're going to add a notification like this, put a damn weight sensor that can detwct weight. Ive since disabled that notification.

From drivers position hold Lock on key fob for 5 seconds to establish all doors unlock at touch of outside handle.

I think more than one has mentioned this. From what I recall, if you hold the downshift paddle for a second it will downshift you (multiple gears, presumably) into the powerband, right?

Look up IS500 tips and tricks and find the video by Richard Auto regarding key functions. You can change the behavior of touch unlock to unlock all doors/trunk. Ive always found it good to look up Tips and Tricks for a car.

I had a 2008 ISF and I now have an LC. In 2010 Lexus issued a recall that reprogrammed the ECU so that when applying the brake in conjunction with the throttle, the throttle would cut off. This was due to a terrible accident in California due to a floor mat being wedged under the gas pedal causing it to stick fully open. I never had the recall performed on my ISF because I trail brake. But, since 2010 all Lexus vehicles produced have had the brake/throttle software programmed into the ECU, For me, it's very frustrating and I have been caught in situations, where I forget it's there and trail brake on my LC. AFAIK, Lexus and I assume Toyota is the only company with this arrangement. I can trail brake in my Silverado without any interference.
For me this is safety issue and is extremely annoying
I absolutely HATE it![Dunno](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/13879dunno.gif)

I love this car, but only a couple of things would be nice. Auto folding side mirrors, sun visors that extend out, a place for our phones to charge, and better tires from the factory. No one has mentioned it yet, but one of things I was pleasantly surprised with was that there is no auto shut off. I love that Lexus decided not to put that on a car that we understand from the start that it is not going to great mpg when it is driven hard.

I haven't personally tried this in the Lexus, but I can say I have on our BMWs we've owned. It works that way on them.
