What do you NOT like about your IS500?
Noticed issues with a body panel and if I am reading y'alls comments correctly, the brakes are a little soft?
Is that correct?
Is there anything else you do not like? Anything you just flat out hate? Did you create a work around?
Thank you

^^ Other than the brakes, that is it for me....Everything is just perfect! Well, maybe if the front bumper sagging affects me, I'll have to add that to the list but for now, that is my soul beef with this car is how the brakes feel, but far from a show stopper

I feel slightly embarrassed that its not a full F car. The IS F boys are mean and think they're better than us. I take solace in knowing they had to buy their IS F secondhand and can never afford a $70k car.... but I can.

No wireless CarPlay, subpar OEM summer tires and brakes that start fading too quickly.
First two are easy to fix and third (brakes) will soon enough be addressed by the aftermarket now that Japanese market is getting the IS500. Guessing a good set of brake pads would be enough for what I’d want but too lazy to swap them out prior to original pads wearing down.
Sagging fender was an issue but whatever Lexus dealership did to fix it on my ‘22 held strong.
Edit - add very weak remote lock/unlock range to this list.

The bottle holder in the door is pathetically sized. The blinker and cruise control stalks are slightly annoying.

the issues i have with this car is very minor and could've been offered by lexus. the 500 had everything the DHP package had minus the CF mirror caps and spoiler. the other thing i was bummed about was that the suede/alcantara feature was only available in incognito grey.
one issue, not dealer option, that sucks at the moment is when upgrading to BBK; the rear e-brake issue is real.
oil and tranny cooler would be nice if they were included, but there are kits available now as options.

As for me, I'd just say the door bottle holders, as mentioned, could be a little larger. My Corkcicle tumbler does not fit nicely - I really have to cram it in there, even though it's not a very large tumbler. The lack of wireless Android Auto is a bummer, but thankfully it is easily solved with an aftermarket adapter for under $100. The rear seats are somewhat annoying to get in and out of. The cooling issues are also a bummer. Even on a relatively brief mountain run, I saw elevated engine oil temps. Granted, if I was by myself I would have been taking it a little easier on the acceleration, but I had to keep up with the group.
Otherwise, I love this thing. It checks all the boxes.
The newer Lexus models I've been in do not have the "annoying" stalks. The ES, for example, has a traditional style indicator stalk. Even the LC does.

I like everything about my Lexus IS 500, except for the fact it is not paid off yet!

I actually like the cruise control stalk. It's such a fluid motion to turn it on and set the speed. Bing, boom, it's on.

- Front camera manual button too hard to access. Should be in center console. (for avoiding parking stoppers/curbs as they don't trigger radar always)
- Turn signal (already used to it since coming from GS)
- very little storage (compared to GS350)
- transmission shifts too conservative unless in sport plus.
- no rear door touch unlock sensors.
- remote start turns off engine when you open door.
- front/rear cameras don't have dashcam recoding abilities. (really nitpicking on this one)
I'm really nitpicking here.

No major complaints here. The most confounding is the proximity sensors don’t disengage when in neutral. So they’re going off all through the car wash. You can mute the sound but the camera view still activates on the screen. Just seems silly to me.
