Does anyone know if the black chrome around the windows is polish able? I got some scratches I have no idea how showed up.

Maybe try using some polishing compound in a small, inconspicuous spot. I think it might work. Anyone else tried it before?

would not recommend any polish, all Facebook threads say that any minor polish will actually remove the color

Yikes. What, if not polish, are we supposed to use?

Sounds like you would want to go to your dealer for input. It's still new enough they'd probably entertain the question.

Have you tried 800 grit sandpaper + avocado oil and a hair dryer?
Edit: I'm joking.

my old bmw had "shadowline" black gloss black trim and it held up really well over the years. Hopefully Lexus isn't inferior quality.

Sadly you aren't the only owner that has reported fading even from something as light as just rubbing when washing the car. The owners manual says the finish is fragile but thats something else. I was considering buying the IS500 trim as a way of blacking out my chrome, but dropping $3000 for parts that may discolor is a big no-no.

After doing some research, looks like these are very sensitive. So I’m gonna let them get banged up a little through washes and what not and then gloss black wrap when they really **** me up. Probably will look good on caviar. Cheers
