Don’t wait for the 2024 unless you don’t mind paying like $1500 more for the similar thing if not 100% the same thing.

If you are thinking about getting a IS500, be prepared to get obliterated at the gas pump. At least that’s how I feel now. It’s extremely thirsty if you only do city driving.
So. Freaking. Smart.

I got my 2022 at MSRP for $62K. Now it seems $66K (My all-in) is the avg MSRP from what I’ve seen; and the dashcam and brushed aluminum around the door switches are not worth the price jump! Since the 2024 will be the last year, the base price will most definitely go up from 2023.

Gas-wise…I’ve only seen a 2mpg difference between the 500 and my old 2016 IS350 FSport RWD. (Highway & City)

Ended up buying a 2023 Is500 at the dealership. It didn’t have the BBS wheels but I like the dark chrome wheels more. It’s more unique I think. It’s the red interior that I like. So why not.

Congrats. And yes, the car is pretty thirsty in the city, but it mellows out on the highway quite a bit. It'll do high-20s easily. But man, the MPG falls off a cliff if I start going to S+ and driving it aggressively.

I think you made the right call snapping up what is likely one of the last 2023s your dealership will get. Enjoy the car!

Ya thanks! It was actually the wisdom from this forum who shared the MSRP price jump and I was convinced. Not my own analysis.

My car only sit in the dealership lot for a few days to a week and I got it.

Mine was $65k MSRP and No dash cam! Sounds like the MSRP jump was closer to $3k!!!

The extent of the changes will be very similar.

Noticed the same, 2 mpg difference between the 500 and my prior 21 350. So not that bad all things considered.

I'm getting 19.5 mpg on the 500 and was hovering around 21.5 on the 2021 350 (awd). Say 70/30 city/highway driving . It's not like the 350 was all that efficient either. LOL.

Same. I was averaging 21 in the IS 350 and am averaging just over 19 in the IS 500. Though, my IS 350 was RWD.

Sounds about right for city driving. I'm usually round 20 in the city if I'm not driving like an A-hole but mildly aggressive. However, on the hwy with cruise set 77-80 mph I can easily get 26-28 mpg.

Smart move grabbing a 23. with the price hikes continuing for little adds you might as well get the car and enjoy it.

Do we know if they've stopped producing for MY 2023? I could totally believe a price hike for 2024 so I'd be interested in snagging a 2023 if possible, but there are almost no cars available with the Enkeis. Maybe more are coming? I'm not confident...

my old 350 still gets pretty good mpg for a high mileage car but of course not a awd just rwd, and the 500 have better than i thought mpg, and compared to my friends in their 350z or G35 the mpg on the 500 is very good for a V8.

I'm sure there are plenty of threads about gas mileage. I'm interested in the 2024 IS500, the last V8 sedan Lexus will ever make.

Anybody got any news? Thank you I'm dying over here.
