Compared to back then, the app is far better now. The remote start takes less time to do, and it'll even tell me stuff like my oil level, where the car was last located, etc. It's honestly not bad; though it should be complimentary, if you ask me.

Yeah. Nobody will be missing this when the 2024s are out. Getting the new infotainment on this old platform was always wishful thinking though I’m afraid, and this support link seems to confirm it.

Oh the Lexus app and the Lexus Enform / App Suite app are different apps. The Lexus app doesn't try to integrate Music streaming and other "apps" into the system. The remote start works fine the few times I tried it just to demo it. Remote start is pretty much a useless feature for me since I work from home. It's more useful for me to check if I left a door open or unlocked.

The new Lexus app works the same on the newest infotainment. It is independent of it unlike the old one which tried to bridge functionality into the old Gen 7/8 infotainment. All this confirms is basically the old systems and the old app are officially done. The newest infotainment and our generation of infotainment don't use the current Lexus app for their functionality.

But there is little doubt not much changes beyond colors on this car for 2024.

I know all that, but I think you missed my point. None of the new infotainment cars are on the end-of-life list on that support document. But the IS 2024 is. I mean, like I said, I don’t think anybody seriously expected any change before a brand new platform is introduced for the IS, but this is just kind of another confirmation point. If it was using the new infotainment, there’d be no app suite to retire and it wouldn’t be on the list.

Edit: as an aside I just noticed the RC 2024 is there too, so I guess that platform lives on at least one more year as well

This is great news and lines up with prior MYs. Still no owner's manuals unfortunately.

Interesting find on that Lexus App support page. This cements 3IS is last for 2024 MY and last of the line for Naturally Aspirated Engines. And 2UR-GSE final years in attainable form (so, not counting LC) being relegated to 2024 year for both RC F and IS 500.
I expected and already shared it before in this thread that touch pad in RC and IS needs a total overhaul of infotainment including the CD player removal is needed barring a few exceptions.

Mine was built 2 months before delivery, so these December ones are probably being made already, like Sep-Oct manufacturing. I'm very curious on the bumper fix aspect more than anything else for 2024 MY IS 500.

I stand corrected. Appearance package cars are allocated, due in late Nov/early Dec.

Last of the RC F, I guess 2024 IS 500 news will arrive very soon.

I have a deposit with my local Lexus dealer. They just called and informed me they got an allocation for a MY 24 IS 500 in Incognito.

Is this a mistake? Will they really re-release a color that was used for a launch edition?

Nice. It's not a mistake.
