how do you even go about negotiating something like this?

Depends where you are, the color, and just timing. If the car has been sitting a while or there isn't much interest, maybe you can get a discount. If the dealership only got 1 allocation or there are people waiting, it ain't happening.

I wanted 1 color, it was the only one within an 8 hour drive that wasn't over MSRP. I had no negotiating power to get below MSRP but I was happy with my choice.

i guess dealers differ. My dealer will locate me one bring it in and still give me a discount.

find the right dealers. My Toyota and Lexus dealers are Msrp and they don’t put those dumb upsells on vehicles. Everything is Msrp or below. . Just negotiate .pretty good right now for buyers. They say it willl get even better for buyers in the near future


you’re starting to see better interest rates now through manufacturers

I'm 99% sure this is a pricing error but here is a 2024 IS500 Special Appearance Package with 5% off MSRP.
