Blue Flame darker than Grecian? Confused...
As far as my eyes can tell having seen both in person many times, Blue Flame is much brighter than Grecian. Grecian is a medium blue, whereas Blue Flame is a bright/lighter blue that leans very slightly towards turquoise in some light.
If you parked them next to each other they are quite different, although definitely from the same genre of bright blues that has been so popular on cars in recent years, so agreed on it being confusing Lexus went with this new color.

I think we can agree that the actual hue of Blue Vector is a little brighter/lighter than Grecian Water.

For those who play guitar this is familiar to conversations describing the pickups. Those conversations are funny. Two people will have the same pickups in the same type guitar and describe their sound completely different. I hear the guitars with the pickups and shake my head with what they describe. Its funny crazy!

On what might the last batch of IS 500s in 24', they should have come out with Isle of Man Green like BMW, Plum Crazy like a Challenger SRT Demon, or Saffron Yellow Metallic like a Porsche 911. Make them really REALLY special!

^Agreed. Happy for those of you wanting blue flame, but a third blue with no green, yellow, or purple options is a major oversight IMO. Even Copper Crest would have been kind of interesting... moreso than Blue Flame.

Yes, any of these would have been good. A special appearance Amethyst, Nori Green, Copper Crest or Flare Yellow with a tan or brown interior would have been the bomb and they would have sold out instantly! Maybe the interior for the launch edition would be better for the Amethyst, but either one would rock. So much for wishful thinking. So here is a little more wishful thinking... I have seen the CEO's of GM and Ford as well as the former Toyota CEO who only recently left publicly say they need to dial back on the EV market. Most all brands have said they are not seeing the sales they were expecting for these things. So my wishful thinking is the IS 500, RC, and LC V8s will hang around a little longer. I am knocking on 12k miles on my car. Never thought I would get that high that quick. I love the car. At this rate I will need a new one sooner than later. SO here is wishful hoping there will be a 25', 26'. 27' model year!

I have been thinking the same. Also, with the intro of the IS500 in the Japanese market, they may be inclined to ride their investment a bit longer. I'm beginning to believe there will be a 2025 IS500. Is it possible the IS will get a refresh in MY25/26 and stay ICE instead of a complete redo into electric? Maybe they postpone the next gen until 2029?

I'm not sure I even want a refresh of this current IS. Interior and exterior is almost perfect the way it is. Lexus is ruining their lineup with each refresh. Electric door handles, bad UI on the new infotainment, touch steering wheel buttons, getting rid of the classic L logo, steer-by-wire, and a half-baked commitment to the spindle grille, are just a few examples.

ICE isn't going anywhere, not in our lifetime anyway. Maybe in California, but they've already thrown a whole bunch of **** out the window. (Budgets, assault rifles, drug task forces, police in general, etc etc)
