Default How well do your AC vents in the rear work?

I rarely have anyone in my back seat so I've never paid much to the vents back there. I finally had someone back there and was trying to get the rear vents to work and even with the AC on the highest setting there was barely anything coming from the rear vents.

Am I missing a setting somewhere, do they not work well, or is mine busted?

Were they closed? Try moving the vents left and right. Turning them inwards closes them up, if I recall correctly.

In my 2010 IS250, the rear vents never had strong air flow but it did work. Might be a Lexus thing but maybe your dealer can confirm.

Yeah, the slide that looks like direction is actually open and close.

Oh man, if that's it I'm going to feel like a total derp. I'll check later and report back. I just finished a 2.5 hour wash and I'm tired now lol

Well that was it! When you point the vent toward the passenger you're actually closing it. I slid them to the center and now they work. It's a pretty stupid design decision to be honest, but thanks for the fix!

Here I was thinking the car didn’t have rear open/close ventilation control. A rear passenger asked me to turn down the AC and was surprised there was no **** back there to control it like most cars.

This is why I always test the back seat when I am thinking of buying a car.

However, you it's still got dual-zone climate. The rear gets the same settings as the front passenger.

Don't let my dog know that; she'll start bugging my wife to crank up the A/C.

Where did you find this out? Im an LTS and we were told that rear climate shares settings with the driver side temperature selection.

Let me do some testing to confirm this. Kinda odd if true. Every other car I've owned with dual-zone climate has the passenger settings applied to the rear.
