I am originally from South Africa, when I moved to North America in 1988 I was shocked by the bright red cloth interiors in domestic cars because Euro and Japanese cars in South Africa never had the red interiors. Back then that bright red cloth interiors reminded me of a brothels from Western movies lol!

If it were up to me I would have gotten adrenaline red on red interior for the IS500, I tried my hardest to have them let me override color combos, TMC said no . Sad days... Probably for the best haha.
I wanted Infrared and Circuit red, so kinda close. They said even without covid holding things up it was likely never.

Just for some background info I am a Toyota employee with access to the vehicle program, MY23 IS500 was removed from the program late last month, along with the rest of the '23 IS lineup. Around mid-July is when all the MYs transfer to the next, so far the IS500 and the rest of the IS lineup is still not on there.

There is definitely a chance of that but I have not heard anything of the IS500 being a limited production run for 2024. Hopefully by the beginning of next week I will see if the 2024 IS is on the lease program website and if the IS500 isn't there then limited production may be the most likely scenario.

Edit: I did some poking around...cannot share the actual info but don't be depressed for 2024 guys
To follow up on this as promised, the 2024 IS500 is now available on the lease program, this almost 100% means that it will be full production run for the entire 2024 MY. Even us Toyota employees only get allocated a certain amount of vehicles (GR Corolla, etc.),but there is no allocation limit for the IS500. Rejoice!

Greetings everyone,

Recently joined the club after lurking over a year on ES and IS forums. Finally I made the call to be a part of the 2UR club after debating with myself for a very long time. I want to thank everyone from my heart for sharing valuable information not only on this thread but across various threads, I learned a lot and hopefully I can share the information I learned along with any new findings along with my experience throughout the journey.

That said thank you to OP for this thread & Velocistar for his insight, I was afraid If I miss the 2023 IS 500 with 2024 being limited esp in this age and time where Toyota has barely 3 vehicles with NA V6 let alone an NA V8 that is in reach.

Awesome. We have the "Roll Call" thread pinned to this sub-forum; maybe post some photos of the new whip there.

Woot! Woot! Can’t wait to see what you’ll get and the initial impressions from the first drive.
