Default Spare Tire Cover

I had to use my jack and tools and put on my donut last week (nasty pothole got my tire). Now that everything's back to normal, I've noticed that the carpeted cover over the spare tire/tool area doesn't latch in or secure in any way. It just lays over the top and can be easily moved. I seem to recall on my '18 IS350 that the cover would secure in somehow, but I could be mis-remembering. Did I break something off when I took the cover off? Does it really just kind of lay there?

Can you provide a photo? It should sorta slide back into place.

Check this video at about 1:28 and confirm if it looks the same as yours.

Yeah, it's the same. Just some little "nubs" in front of it to keep it from sliding forward, and the handle doesn't actually grasp anything underneath.

Not sure what you mean about the handle.

You kinda have to fold it down as you drop it into place, and it will sort of fit snugly in there, as shown in the video. If that's what you did, not sure what else to tell you. Mine doesn't "easily move", or at least I would not describe it that way.
