To me Genesis has no design language of its own, each vehicle of theirs looks like pieces of other manufacturers which I'd never want to buy one for that reason.
That would be the whole of Hyundai and Kia. They go this way or that every year. I would still possibly consider a GV70 if I had to do that kind of box just for the twin turbo V6. It's a Stinger crossover basically.

I think they initially started out by copying other designs, but nothing on the road looks like the current Genesis G70 to me. I will say that it appears every manufacturer is in a race to make the most noticeable grille. The SUVs definitely look like carbon copies. I think Genesis makes a better interior than most "attainable" brands. I like that they don't ask for your soul when selecting options though.
Remember when Lexus arrived? The LS was a straight up copy of the S-Class.
