The Yamaha body damper is front and rear, so they screw up there on the press release

they started doing that awhile back like when CT200h first came out and you can find the same idea on the 2005 Corolla XRS, sometimes they don't show the rear one cuz it's usually mounted behind the rear re-bar cover by the bumper cover

Yes, I saw those as well. But what I am saying is, all signs point to the IS not having a rear one before now. Or, perhaps the unit itself is new and different from what was on before. Something changed!

Not sure if you noticed the rest of this thread, but it is pretty clear that lateral performance dampers are also in use at the front of the IS. I think the rear damper is new, and that is what Lexus touts in their press releases and brochures.
