Yeah, thats what I’m reading. If they decide to replace it, we’ll see.

I have noticed the same noise from my 2013 IS500 at about 9K miles, 2nd summer. Using 93 Shell V Power . I only noticed it recently, this summer when I remote started the car in the outdoor parking lot. I thought it was just part of the fuel injection system, like the injectors and was ok to live with it. Now that I see this post I am thinking about it lol.

For those who replace the fuel pump I hope you can report back if noise returns. I don't trust my mechanics to change anything mechanical on my car just yet, especially if its just a sound. The car is running perfectly still.

Yep, this is why I stopped complaining about it. The car drives great; no issues with the actual response of the car. So, if something breaks, I did report it on my RO when I made the appointment.

Pretty sure I also have the same noise (which I only hear during idle/stopped with my windows down)... at this point, it seems to be a common "break-in" noise based on how many others are hearing it? The fact that its not coming from the belt/pulley area makes me less concerned as we already know the HPFP are generally noisy units...

I'm just under 10k miles on a 2023 for reference sake

I wouldn't say it's related to break-in in particular, as I still have the noise occasionally at over 12,000 miles. To me, it seems to have more to do with temperature. In particular, it happens for me after driving for several minutes, but it stops after a while (maybe once the car is fully up to operating temperature). Is yours like that?

ill keep tabs on mine during cold/warm operation to see if i can notice a difference or consistency.

my break-in comment was more tongue in cheek, just with what we know about the noisiness of the HPFP... but yeah its not an ideal sound even if it ends up being normal from "toyota/lexus standpoint"

The dealer did tell me it’s normal. I went in multiple times and had it documented. I then filed a case with Lexus Customer Satisfaction. It took a few weeks but they finally anpproved it and I just had my driver side fuel pump replaced yesterday under warranty.
As an FYI - I discovered that Chevron has been the best at minimizing the chirps.

Glad they took care of it for you. Perseverance paid off!
