will agree to disagree then. Again it depends on roads and tolerances. My buddies isf has a distinct rattle, my rx350 has a few rattles etc. maybe it’s just my luck

It's my luck too. Every Lexus vehicle I've owned, plus my mom's LS 500, all developed interior rattles. Our roads are pretty rough, though. That's my GS, RX, ES, and IS!

Surprising, the car with the stiffest suspension (the C7) was the only car that didn't rattle.

I must be lucky as I had 4 IS (2015 onward) and 1 RC and never had a single rattle in them

Sometimes it's that one thing that really bothers you. One of my Minis had a thumping sound from the front left suspension that could never be found or fixed. The technicians swore there was no sound, but I could hear it. Got rid of that car because of that noise....

I should also say that my 23 IS500 was rattle free when I got. Even after having MusicBox Tommy install the lowering springs and various suspension parts, there was no rattles. Only after when I had tint installed onto my car did the driver door rattle and sometimes creak if i put my elbow on it. I've considered taking of the panel and putting it back on myself to see if a clip wasnt just seated right or if it is fact faulty.

It's unfortunate that Lexus has let so many rattles squeak by their QC process. My '08 IS was like a vault along with many of my parents various Lexus'. My '18 had quite a few rattles that I was surprised by. Now I'm seeing this with the new IS as well.

I loath rattles and I was pleasantly surprised when buying German the past few years (several Audi's and BMWS - all newer models grant you) that they have been mostly very solid interiors. Long term may be a different story.

Unfortunately a lot of luxury brands are cost cutting especially on interior materials and quality these days. Lexus is not immune. I had an NX loaner when my 2022 Audi RS5 was in for regular maintenance, and the interior felt quite cheap and had several areas with buzzing and rattling. To be fair, this was a loaner vehicle and had 4k miles on it...probably not easy miles either.

I finally tracked down an intermittent interior rattle I have to the trim piece behind the center screen. Took me forever to find it because I was convinced it was coming from the glovebox area. Funny how sound works. still haven't had time to remove the panel and test a solution but I'll try to update here once I do.
