Tuned by Loi/vftuner

This question is going to put my ignorance on full display, but is it possible to have these tunes based on drive modes? Like have it run stock in eco, normal, sport s, and custom, but have it run the tune only in sport s+?

I dont know about Lexus, but other cars have that capability.

You're gonna love it. I had him send me the transmission tune and have been running it the last few days and it's great. I always hated how the car would shift so early if you weren't full throttle and how much you had to push the pedal to get it to downshift and accelerate on the freeway. This got rid of all that, feels a lot better and enjoy the new found power.

Only have about 20 minutes of driving time post ecu and tcu tune. Majority done in normal powertrain mode. Regular street/local road driving, with normal throttle input, the car will still shift through the gears for efficiency. However, they do appear to be a bit crisper and should you decide to step on it more to go from about 30 to 45-50mph, it will stay in gear longer instead of downshifting 1-2 gears. I always thought that downshift was a bit overkill. Most noticeable part of the ecu tune is the torque/power curves. It hits earlier and hits harder and just keeps going smoothly even if not WOT. Went onto the highway and it's so much easier to get up to whatever speed you desire. Planning to do a dyno eventually but for now it’ll just be more subjective observations on the behavior of the car.

Butt dyno says very good results. The car pulls so much harder in 2nd gear. The torque curve feels a lot more linear rather than flat. Transmission feels like it’s shifting smoother, in the sense of there’s no disconnect of power during a shift. Much less noticeable at least. Loving it so far, and will continue to put it through its paces.

might do one tomorrow again. I tried before but either I didn’t put pedal to floor or my dragy isn’t working properly, got a super slow time of 6 seconds lol which idk how that’s even possible.

all subjective but i felt like the car shifted better when WOT even pretune compared to when it’s not being pushed. However, post tune on WOT, shifts feel snappier and no discernible gap in power delivery in between shifts. Car feels always ready to go. I would describe it like using pennzoil motor oil vs thicker oem oil.

no, there are definitely noticeable differences but they’re just hard to capture and explain. What I’ve said aligns with others’ posts. I imagine the only way to really know everything that changes with the tcu tune is to ask Loi

Supposedly if you just mash the gas pedal and the car hooks you should get the best time. I don't think you need to brake torque or anything.
