Super glue and JB Weld. The relentless pursuit of perfection indeed.

Wow this actually makes me feel better because it’s very similar to how I fixed mine myself a year ago when it started and still holding strong. I did not use epoxy or any super glue but what I did do was add a very thin rubber strip where they tell you to glue a zip tie on. Essentially you are just pushing the retainer clip lower so the clip on the bumper doesn’t slip past and allow it to separate. Glad my thought process was the same as Toyota engineers lol.

I’m sorry, I do not. Since it’s been working for the last year I’m terrified to take it apart to take some pictures. It was no joke probably about the thickness of a large zip tie. Say 1/16”

I was like you right after i got my car. I joined the forum and saw all this stuff about front bumper sag. I was like, I need to find a solution! I watched YouTube videos on how to take off the bumper on ISs and looked closely at the bumper clips and the retainer. I looked at my car, on top, through the bottom, through the wheel well liner when I replaced a cracked corner vent. But then nothing happened, 7 months later nothing has happened so I’m not too worried about it at this point. At least Lexus acknowledged some cars have a problem and they now have a fix. Just get your car, enjoy this beast before they’re gone and you’ll be fine.

That is truly all I can do for now. At least there is a fix as jank as it is. Will see how it plays out.

Just got my car back from dealer for this TSB. After a week of working on it, I got my car back looking exactly the same way. The fix doesn't work or the dealer didn't follow directions.
