Default Weird GPS and Carplay Issue for IS500

I brought a new 2023 IS500 on Feb 2024 from a local dealership. However, I noticed there is a critical issue when using the wired carplay. The situation is: I'm using Google map, when I start using the carplay for the first 10ish mintues, I got the accurate position/navigation. After that, however, sometimes the carplay will identify my position very poorly (e.g. I'm on a highway, but the carplay somehow thinks I'm 1 mile away from the highway). In that situation, the navigation of the car itself still gave me the correct location, but carplay did not. If I unplug the wire, google map will give me correct location immediately, but on the second I re-connect to the carplay, the location became incorrect.

Is anyone has the same problem? Should I go to the dealership?

Thanks!

yeah, my wifes 15 pro max has never worked either. Get an Android phone as they works great!. If you find a fix post it up as it will make my wife quit moaning.
I have had my is500 for nearly a year, so apple updates don't fix it.

Mine works fine. For some reason your iPhone and vehicle integration aren't what is should be. It could be the car, it could be the phone. I would just say make sure your car and phone have the latest IOS and software.

software version has made no difference for a year. What iphone do you have if you don't mind me asking. Seems to be a lot of people with carplay issues on 15 phones.

I have an iPhone 12. Does Apple Maps do the same thing or is it just Google?

Guess so. I found this on an Apple Forum, seems like a big issue across many vehicles. GPS

Okay, I have an update: Seems like the carplay is caused by my dashcam position... I put my dashcam on the lower part of the windshield, above the head unit. I removed my dashcam and the carplay is fine FOR NOW. I'll see if the carplay still working with more driving this week.

Not sure if it could be related but somethings I have that issue when I place my phone between my legs. I tend to text at red lights and when the light turns green I just put it between my legs. The moment I remove it from there, the signal is accurate again. For some reason my ***** act as a faraday's cage of sort.
