I'm surprised everyone hates the body kit, I actually think it's not too crazy. I like it quite a bit, but still wouldn't buy it.

They just cannot seem to make enough of them, much less quick enough. Back on topic, If Lexus should offer a roots style supercharged version of the IS 500 V8, I am all in. Just have never seen enough reliability to want anything with a turbo. I have not purchased a new Sequoia for this very reason. The fact that Toyota/Lexus is using turbos gives me pause to think if anyone can do it right, it is Toyota! I will be watching closely. Very closely.
Boost is boost for reliability, just gotta keep the intake charge cool and design the motor right. Semi trucks have mega turbos and go a million+ miles. I feel 100% confident buying a turbo Toyota vehicle. Even a new Supra!

I do like PD blowers for the ease of maintenance and the on demand torque.

And a little off topic with you... Ford just posted (I think) 1.3 billion dollars in loss from EVs from this quarter alone. The public loves gas still so I don't think the V8 will go away. The market just isn't ready. GM just spent some insane amount developing a new generation of V8s for their trucks and SUVs too. There is still hope!

I'm no boy racer. I think this is absolutely GORGEOUS! If it were Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0, and I had lotsa money, I would buy
it tomorrow. Sadly, money-no-object is not where I am, so I couldn't buy it. But I woulda if I coulda!

I’d pay good money to know I’d never have to have my eyes assaulted by cars that look like this ever again.

The drivetrain could end up in the IS500 if the N/A V8 is gone in a few years but you never know w/ Lexus. Lexus had made engine swap concept that turned into something that's available for sale. The IS-F originally was a engine swap IS300 concept called IS430 built by Rod Millen for 2003 Sema and then few years later the IS-F came out.

If they could alter the V35 to somewhere in the neighborhood of 500-550hp with a 7500 redline, add in some factory brembos and better tires, that would be a great package.

Just learned today that Pontiac is coming back to life. They are going to debut with a Firebird with a 667HP V8. It was also have a hybrid motor under the hood with the V8. This is good news for us V8 fans. As I stated above, Chrysler is lamenting their decision. The Pontiac Press Release throws all kinds of darts at them over their V8 cancellation. GM has said they are not done. I do not know if the Pontiac resurgence is what they have in mind, or the veiled teaser they had a couple of years ago about a V8 Chevelle return. All said I believe Lexus is going to hang in with us awhile.

Gas prices are high but not that high so as long as prices don’t double or V8 vehicles get slapped with crazy fuel economy taxes, people will continue to buy them if they sell them.
