I just picked up my IS 500 yesterday and decided to drop by the dealership service department to see if I can get the smart key card. The service department told me the key card is not compatible on my vehicle (2024). But I really feel that it is and they just dont have the right info considering the car is basically the same since 2022. Even if you go on the official lexus website and try to locate parts, they dont even have a section for the IS 500. Does anyone else have experience with this or can confirm if the 2024 is compatible with the smart key card? Also, the smart key card is the credit card looking key instead of the usual key fob.

Seems some dealers have been saying that same thing since this car first came out. It worked on my ‘22 and it works on my ‘23.

And yes, the smart key card is the credit card sized one. About 3-4 credit cards thick though so not perfectly useful if you like to keep your wallet thin.

To keep a long story short, the key card will work.
