I just purchased the rr-racing bazooka valvetronic exhaust with carbon tip for my 2024 IS 500 with magnaflow cats. Does anyone have any experience with this? I was hesitant on buying the magnaflow and thinking about not installing them. So how loud does it get with the valves closed, any issues or error codes or lights on the dash? I only recently purchased them and I was told it would be around 40-60 days before it arrives and then I have to go get it installed. Any experience with this would be appreciated, mainly looking for is 500 but if you had this on a rcf or gsf that’s fine too.

 

any reason for getting the magnaflow cats instead of the full rr racing catback exhaust? heard good things on the full rr racing catback system

 

@snowyblue so I actually did get the full cat but added magnaflow for an extra 350$. Was that a mistake or should I return it?

 

that i am not sure. i have only heard it with no cats and the kooks cats. im sure the magnaflows sound good

 

@snowyblue was yours the one that cost 3099.00? The only other option was the axle back which was 1900.

 

@Usmco621 full catback, correct. i dont have the exhaust. couple friends out of town had the rr racing and one had had it with no cats, and the other with the kooks.

 

Hopefully it’s good, was pretty expensive. Unfortunately they told me it’ll take around 60 days to arrive to my place and then I’m actually going to drive to RR racing to have it installed. They quoted me 300$ which isn’t that bad. I was thinking of having them paint the tips matte black or gloss black since I have the incognito color and it has a lot of black accents. Wasn’t too fond of the chrome tips

 

I also ordered the RR Racing Bazooka system with Magnaflow cats. I'm waiting for it right now, next tues will be the 8th week and hopefully it will ship out...
Once I install it I can post on here if you'd like.

 

the rr racing sounds really good. i think there are some youtube videos with is500s with the rr racing catback. they all sound good. i just have the resonated apexi mid pipe. may do a full exhaust in the future

 

@Ganyu danm 8 weeks is crazy, I’m too excited for mine to wait that long. Definitely post a video here once you get it since we ordered the same thing basically

 

Yea, the website said estimated 4-6 weeks, but i've seen comments on it taking longer haha. I'm just hoping to get it in soon.

 

I saw that too and I was just banking that it wasn’t true and it would ship immediately 😂. If it’s taking that long, it makes me feel like they’re being made when an order is placed rather than them being in stock ready to ship.

I have had my RR Racing full catback on for nine months now. I do not have any extra cats installed, just the factory ones coming off the manifolds. Absolutely no issues!. With the valves closed it is louder than stock, but not ridiculous. With the valves open it is super cool. Even then it is loud, but not over the top obnoxious loud. I love it!!!

 

I just had mine done by them and im getting an awful vibrating sound at idle. its a bit of a drive so im dealing with it until i had time to drive all the way back. was really frustrating to have driven all the way up to have them do it themselves to have this happen. I was quoted $400 so they must have given you a discount
